Interesting Afternoon

Since Wednesday I haven't been feeling too great, uncomfortable and crampy, so this morning I started to wonder if I should call the doctor since it had been a few days. So I called the doctor around noon and made an appointment for 1:30. The nurse said to bring my bag just in case so I was hoping for this to be it. At the appointment my blood pressure was 140 over 110 so he sent me to the hospital for blood work and to be monitored for a few hours to see if he needed to do something. He said that he would offer to induce me but the baby is still pretty high and I am still only dilated a little. He said it would take a long time to get me to the point of being ready to have her. So at the hospital they watched my blood pressure, her heart beat and my contractions. My blood pressure gradually came down to a level that they were okay with and they said that the baby was looking good. At least my blood pressure being up wasn't affecting her this time. The nurse said that I was having contractions every 4-6 minutes but they weren't strong enough to keep me and with only being dilated a little she said it would take a long time (like the doctor said) and that I would probably rather not wait her out in the hospital since all I can do is lay there and think about it. At least at home I could be a little more comfortable. He said to stay off my feet as much as I can and to take it easy. So I guess it is a waiting game now. If I don't go by next week, he scheduled me to be induced on Wednesday morning. I am hoping that she decides to come on her own before then! Wednesday seems so far away. We will keep everyone updated!

I am still thinking it is going to be this weekend! I've been thinking about you and wondering about your BP. I am glad you were able to get it to come back down.
