Our Christmas

We had a busy few days with the Christmas festivities. Christmas Eve we made cookies with the kids along cleaning, trying to paint the dining room and preparing for the holiday. We went to Christmas Eve service with our friends Stan, Marisa and Anna. Aidan asked to blow out the candles at the front of the church throughout the service and when we wasn't asking to do that he was asking to go up and sing with the choir! After church was over and most of the people were gone, he went up to the front and sang Jingle Bells into the microphone! It made him happy!

After church Brad's parents visited for a little bit and then we put our cookies and milk out for Santa and we went to bed. Aidan was very excited to see that the cookies and milk were missing on Christmas morning. He made us put more out during the day saying that Santa needed more cookies and would yell at us if we tried to eat them off the plate. Then Christmas night we had to put more out for Santa! Saturday morning we put the plate and cup away so we didn't have to continue any longer!!

Aidan had a great time opening all of his presents and helping Lily with hers. She tried to help but was a little more interested in chewing on the paper then opening the presents. I think one of his favorites is his kitchen set...when he pulled the blanket off he said something like "oh wow, for me??" Oh, he is also very interested in the talking/singing tea cup that Lily got from Santa!

After trying out most of his stuff for the rest of the morning he took a nap and then it was off to Gramma and Pappa's house. We had a very yummy dinner and then it was time for more presents! He got lots of great stuff from everyone...I think one of his favorites was his kid's digital camera from Gramma and Pappa. It will be fun to see what the pictures look like when we upload them!!

When we arrived back home my parents were waiting for us and the gift opening continued! We did some that night and Saturday morning. He really likes his tractor and easel from Grandma and Grandpa. When he saw the big wrapped easel box he said "oh wow, that's a big one"

I guess now we have to find places for all of these new toys! We both were saying that many of his toys from before will have to be put away for awhile. There just isn't enough room for it all!!

I hope that everyone had a great holiday with family and friends...I know we did.

Aidan loved decorating the tree with us!

Lily playing so we could get some stuff done around the house.

Aidan putting the sprinkles on the cookies.

Lily putting the fork marks in the peanut butter cookies.

Aidan had a great time with his kitchen set.

Lily wearing the same pajamas Aidan did for his first Christmas. I plan to find a picture of him in them so I can compare...pictures to come later.

Lily watching the train.

Lily loves rolling over and pushing her self up.

Aidan watching his train. He loved having it out to play with. I think it will be a sad day when it gets packed up and goes back into the attic.

Aidan liked his new finger paints...Thanks Anna!

Aidan is ready to join a band! He likes making music with his harmonica.

Trying out his new camera.

A family photo.

Aidan got these fun dinosaur feet to wear out in the snow. That way we can leave dinosaur tracks in the snow! We will have to take them to Grandma and Grandpa's this weekend since they have alot of snow and we don't have any.

Aidan checking out his new easel.

It came with a ton of letters so he had fun putting all of them on the magnetic board.
